Estimates, job cards, spare parts, VRT and service reminders and customer messages in one program for independent garages on both islands. VAT is applied line by line; the return still goes to MTCA through your accountant.
Promec's Quotes screen as garages use it: estimates by status, found by number plate, each with its AI analysis.
A garage run on paper and several apps misses work. Lifts, staff and revenue visible together.
Each repair means looking up parts and labour again, and on a small island a slow reply sends people to the next garage quickly.
The estimate is sent, the customer goes quiet, and no one has time to ask again.
VAT records, supplier bills, GDPR and yet another subscription. All of it time taken from the lifts.
Whether the garage is in Birkirkara, Qormi or Victoria, Promec runs the usual chain of work: booking the car, the estimate, the mechanic's phone app, spare parts, customer messages and invoices in euros with your VAT number and the rate on each line.
Promec does not connect to the Malta Tax and Customs Administration (MTCA), formerly the Commissioner for Revenue. It does not submit VAT returns, so those stay with your accountant or your own MTCA access. Only Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia have a direct tax-authority link in Promec today.
Booking, inspection, the customer's go-ahead, the repair and the payment are one continuous record.
From the customer's description or the OBD codes, the AI suggests the repair and prices it with your hourly rate and spare parts margins.
Messages by WhatsApp Business API, SMS or email leave from the job, and the customer has a progress page to view the repair and approve extra work.
Each invoice shows your Maltese VAT number, follows its series and applies the rate you choose per line, and income and expenses are recorded along the way. Promec sends nothing to MTCA; your return is prepared outside it.
OBD codes from the car are explained in plain terms, new and used spare parts are counted in stock, and your technical documents are kept in reach.
Fill the calendar, spread jobs across the lifts, move them on the board when something overruns and see the real output of each mechanic, who updates the job from a phone.
Included whichever plan you take.
The garage number is answered inside Promec, missed calls are listed and each call gets a short summary on the customer record.
Customers hand over the car themselves while the mechanics keep working.
Offers reach the customers and cars already stored in Promec, with no separate mailing list.
Clocking in, vacation leave and employee files beside the jobs.
Garages often stay put because changing systems sounds disruptive. Video courses and in-program guides make the move lighter.
The figures a garage owner follows, with a trail of who changed each record.
VRT. Before a road licence is renewed, Transport Malta needs valid vehicle roadworthiness test details, where the test applies, entered by a VRT station. That makes VRT one of the most predictable reasons for a car to visit a garage. Promec keeps the due date on each vehicle, sends the reminder and lets the driver book a slot, and anything the test reveals becomes an estimate on the same record.
VAT. MTCA, the administration that grew out of the former Commissioner for Revenue, sets 18% as the standard rate, with reduced rates of 12%, 7%, 5% and 0% for specific supplies. In Promec each invoice line carries its rate and the totals go into the accounts; the return is still filed outside Promec.
GDPR. Malta applies the EU GDPR together with the Data Protection Act (Cap. 586), overseen by the Information and Data Protection Commissioner. Reminders only go to customers who agreed to them, and every message stays on file.

Clocking in, photos, the job report and signature are all done at the lift. Each one updates the progress page the customer follows.
Customers open a private link to see the repair status, the estimate to accept, documents and live video from the garage camera.
Customers sign in, add their cars, see previous work and get a message before the next service or VRT is due. The bookings come from people who have already been to your garage.
Website visitors send the car and the problem, and the request comes in ready for an estimate.
The AI replies with a price while the driver is still asking around.
Service, oil change or VRT due: reminders bring the car back to your lift.
A review request follows every job, helping drivers in your area find the garage.
Ask us first whether it runs in Malta. If it does, we can switch on requests from private drivers who want a repair nearby. You take the jobs that suit you at your own price, instead of relying on insurance or fleet work.

Customers, cars and repair history are moved in and invoicing never pauses.
We enter your hourly rate and the AI prepares a real estimate.
Customers follow the repair and accept work on their phone.
AI estimates and WhatsApp follow-ups are working.
Send the export from your present program and our team loads it into Promec. The old program keeps invoicing until you have checked everything is in place.
Data transfer may carry additional costs depending on the source system and data volume. See terms.
Start with 3 months for €1 and cancel whenever you like from your subscription area. Pick your billing cycle above.
Prices exclude VAT, for businesses and self-employed. €1 in total for the first 3 months, taxes included. From the fourth month the chosen plan is billed automatically. No lock-in: you can cancel before that date. You also have a 15-day money-back withdrawal right. Calls and WhatsApp usage are billed separately.
Every module replaces a task handled today with paper, a spreadsheet or memory. Here is what each covers and what to prepare.
Entering the number plate opens the job with the customer's complaint, mileage, the car's condition and photos taken on a phone. Spare parts, labour time and approvals are added to that record, so the job does not depend on who took the keys that morning. Prepare: number plates, chassis numbers if you keep them, customer invoicing details and your hourly rate.
The estimate combines labour and spare parts lines. The customer accepts or refuses it through a link, and an accepted estimate turns into the job with no second typing. The invoice is issued from the completed job, numbered in its series with your VAT number and the rate per line: 18% standard, or a reduced rate where your accountant confirms one applies. VAT returns are not submitted from Promec. Prepare: invoice series, VAT rates, job-type rates and payment methods.
Each part has a location, cost, selling price and minimum stock, whether new or used. Assigning it to a job lowers stock, and falling below the minimum puts it on the reorder list. Deliveries from suppliers, including parts shipped in from abroad, are matched to orders, so you can see what is paid, what is still on its way and what is not selling. Prepare: parts list with prices, suppliers and one stock count.
Bookings go to a lift and a mechanic with an expected duration, so you know whether Friday really has space before promising the car. Online bookings drop into the same calendar, and cars waiting for parts stay in view without holding a lift. Prepare: lifts, opening hours, mechanics and typical job durations.
The customer is told when the estimate is ready, when work starts and when to collect, by the channel they agreed to. Service and VRT reminders go out ahead of the date you stored, and every message stays on the record. Prepare: contacts customers consented to, and each car's VRT due date.
Sales by period, labour versus parts margin, estimates sent against accepted, lift use and job mix, from data already in the system. They tell you whether the hourly rate pays its way and which part is bought expensive and sold cheap. Prepare: nothing more.
Send the export from your current program. We tidy it first (repeated customers, one part with several names), load it into a test copy you can check, and then you configure lifts, rates and permissions. For the first few days invoice in Promec and keep the old program for reference, and train reception, mechanics and office staff separately on your own jobs. You can export your data at any time, including when you leave.
No. Promec has no link to the Malta Tax and Customs Administration and submits no returns. It issues your invoices with your VAT number and rates and keeps the sales and expense records behind them; your accountant files the return. A direct tax-authority link exists only in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia.
Any you set up. MTCA lists 18% as the standard rate, with reduced rates of 12%, 7%, 5% and 0% for specific supplies. Which one applies to a repair is for you or your accountant to decide.
Yes. Save the VRT due date on the car and Promec reminds the customer before it, on the channel they agreed to. Transport Malta requires valid VRT details, where the test applies, before a road licence can be renewed, so the reminder helps the customer as much as it helps you.
Promec processes data under the GDPR. Your garage, as the controller of its customers' data, has its own duties under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act (Cap. 586), supervised by the Information and Data Protection Commissioner. Messages only go to contacts customers agreed to, and every one is logged.
Yes. The Promec price list is in euros, the same currency your garage invoices in.
No. The first three months cost €1, you can cancel from your subscription area at any time, and there is a 15-day money-back right.
€1 for three months, no commitment, 15-day refund right and free data transfer.
